Perception

For my first blog, I am going to discuss something I was thinking about the other day. Recently while hanging with my friends, I realized how strange it is that the way I see a certain thing is completely different than how he/she might view that same thing. As I tried to explain this concept I used an example of a tree in the winter. When I look at the tree I could view it as beautiful, even with all its leaves gone. Someone else, however, could view this tree as ugly and representing death.
Every person has a different experience as they grow up, which allows room for billions of different perceptions about life. While thinking about this concept is not surprising, it is not something people regularly think about. People can have similar views but none of them are exactly the same as someone else and this is where our world runs into problems.
In order to stop people from butting heads, people would have to accept this reality that everyone is different. By accepting this and coming to an understanding, many fights could be dissolves easily instead of people always having to be right.
